iOS 8 iCloud Fix WishOnList
Some of our customers sent us emails about a bug that prevented WishOnList to correctly sync data through iCloud when using the app on iOS 8 or later. We investigated and discovered it was a common problem also happened to other apps.
Since the release of iOS 8, iCloud has changed some of its sync mechanism letting some apps fail every sync. But, the good news is that we have found a solution and your data should not be lost or corrupted.

Hopefully, you just have to follow these few steps to get back your data and the ability to sync it on all your devices.

  • First of all, backup your device using iTunes to avoid data loss.
  • Delete WishOnList from the device even though an alert will appear telling you that your wishes won’t be deleted because they’re saved on iCloud.
  • Download and install again WishOnList.
  • Open the app and an alert should appear asking you if you want to use iCloud: choose Yes.
  • Then, another alert will appear asking you if you want to migrate your data; in this case choose No since your data is already on iCloud (you just need to download it).

Now you should be able to continue using WishOnList.
Note that this solution worked on our test devices and for all our customers who reported this bug but if you have any other problem, just let us know so we can work together to fix it!

Finally, we want to thank a lot all our users who have helped us to discover and fix this tedious bug!
